Easter Bunny

Today we went to the mall and met the Easter Bunny. Bella did not cry which was a shock. They also got to ride the train, we had so much fun spending the day together.

Egg Coloring

Last weekend Emma, Bella, and Wyatt colored eggs at Grandma Kathy's house. All I can say is WHAT A Mess and WHAT WAS I THINKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Licking the bowl

Here is video of Emma and Bella licking the bowl after I made cupcakes. Roxy would not leave their side and got in a few licks when they were not looking!

Proud to be an American

Here is a video of Emma saying her pledge of allegiance she knows most of it and only forgets a couple words. She has not quite figured out the American flag every time we drive by one she says "hey my teacher has a flag like that!" I try and explain what it is but not sure she quite picks up on it yet.

Haley's Birthday

On St. Patricks day we dressed up in our green and went to Grandma Mary Ann's house to celebrate Haley's 10th birthday. Grandma made corned beef and cabbage and per Haley's request she made her homemade noodles. I brought green rolls and green Italian bread from Hy-vee and Grandma also made Ben's favorite 7-up jell-o. The day finally warmed up so they got the play outside. It was the perfect end to a great holiday.

It's a great day to be Irish!

On Wednesday we went to the St. Patricks day parade. It was about 50 degrees and cloudy, so a little cold standing for 45 min for it to start then another hour for the parade. We even left early the parade lasted 2 hours! Ben was able to come to the parade with us, although you can see in the pictures he forgot a coat.

Our new house!

Ben and I spent 5 hours building the girls a new play house today. They got this house for their birthdays, but since we have had such a long winter in the house we decided to give it to them early.

Lions, Tigers, and Bears Oh My

Emma and Bella decided they needed all of their animals piled on the couch. Can you tell which ones are not animals :)

Dr. Seuss

In honor of Dr. Seuss' birthday the girls had crazy hat day at preschool. They were having much fun modeling these hats this week. Another preschool update at the Bruins house is that I decided to pull Bella out of preschool this week. She was not getting much out of it because she was crying the whole time and I decided it was best for her and me. The teachers were fine with it especially since she will be in 2 year old preschool again next year because her birthday is so late. Hopefully she will do better next school year!

Friend Day

Today I watched Grace and Gavin Dehmer. The girls love to have friends over and played all day with Grace and Gavin. We painted pictures and watched movies. I was surprised that 4 was not too much more work than 2 :)

Hello Kitty Painting

On Thursday the girls and I went to Target and bought Hello Kitty figurines to paint. They had a blast painting, Emma was a little leary about painting hers because she did not want to mess it up, but I convinced her to paint it. Bella just dug right in and started painting right away.

First Haircut

I finally gave in and took Bella to Shaunelle for her first haircut. I am so glad I did, her new do looks great. Emma also go her haircut on Thursday with Bella. Before getting the haircut we decided to have a girls shopping day. It was the most fun shopping day I have had so far with my girls. They were so good and we spent a couple hours just looking at things at Target then headed to Kohls and did a little shopping. We really did not buy much but spending time together was great.

Back to Normal.....well sort of :)

Well I thought this would be our first week back to normal after two weeks of running around. I was wrong....Bella ended up getting a really bad sinus infection, Emma puked 3 times today at the mall food court and I have been sick for a couple days now and it does not seem to be getting better. At least we have been able to resume normal activities so far. The girls were thrilled to finally get back to gymnastics today for the first time in 2 weeks and they did great. They both made it back to preschool this week, Emma loved that and as usual Bella cried because she hates going to preschool.

We did go to the MstM girls state basketball game at the Well. It is fun to watch a team from that small of a school play that well. Maybe someday we will watch our girls at State (we just have to decide what school we want them to go to)!

I am posting a pic of Ben and the girls that should make anyone laugh. He started letting the girls take a bath in our big tub with tons of bubbles, they love it. Mommy just wishes daddy would clean up the bubble mess when he was done.
